Description


DeCoWa MINO - Natural Plaster NP1 has a decorative appearance similar to that of plaster applied with a trowel or of a smooth, colored marble. It is made up of seasoned slaked lime, natural pigments and oxides, selected Carrara marble chippings, and silica.

  • it adheres perfectly to backing (11.5 kgf/cm²)
  • it is marine air resistant (550 hours exposure, ASTM-B 117)
  • it withstands alkali corrosion
  • it is not prone to shrinkage
  • it is ready to use
  • it is abrasion resistant
  • it is non-flammable
  • it does not flake or peel
  • specific gravity: 1.7 ± 0.1 kg/l
  • pH: 13.5 ± 0.5
  • viscosity: non-Newtonian fluid; average value 36,000 ± 1,500 mPas
  • volume solids: 75 ± 1% by weight



Application fields

DeCoWa MINO - Natural Plaster NP1 is ideal for giving an interior and exterior surfaces a decorative appearance similar to that of colored plaster. Provided the surfaces are sound and dry, it can be applied to the following surfaces:
- new finely spread coarse plasters
- new plasters
- surfaces smoothed down with suitable mineral basecoats
- surfaces treated with suitable mineral adhesion promoters
- special plasters to withstand against damp
